I have come to the realization that one thing I really need is a LLB: a Little Black Bodysuit. Now, I know, everyone knows about an LBD being essential, but I have realized that a I desperately want a black body suit to wear this winter. Everywhere I look a see gorgeous designs that I would love to wear, but I have to face the fact that I can’t have them all (unfortunately). Instead, I’m going to share with all of you my favorite black bodysuits available right now.

Marika Vera CAROLINE Stretch Tulle Bodysuit, $245.00

What I love most about this Marika Vera bodysuit is the gorgeous neckline. In my experience, that kind of neckline is so flattering for those of us who are small-busted and is just unusual enough to look special without being strange. The sheer panels on the lower part of the bodysuit are also a very subtly sexy addition.

Princesse Tam Tam Singuliere Bustier Body, $147.40

I think one thing you can learn from this list is just how much I love sheer panels. This Princesse Tam Tam bodysuit is the perfect example of how an otherwise very classic bodysuit can be made just that much sexier and more intriguing with a slightly reimagined neckline. If you think strapless is a bit too likely to cause a wardrobe malfunction, this bodysuit happily also comes with detachable straps.

Sockbox Dazzling Marlene Bodysuit, $282

I love this Sockbox bodysuit for two main reasons: 1. it’s a halterneck, which I find a very flattering style and 2. it’s velvet, which looks deliciously soft. It also has the detachable garter straps, which is handy if you’re planning to wear stockings with your bodysuit.

Ell and Cee Liza Tassel Bodysuit, £75.00

This Ell and Cee is more elaborate and different than the rest of the pieces in this list. I love the fun crossover back and the tassels on the front of the bodysuit. This is definitely not as versatile as some of the other pieces listed here, but if you’re the right kind of person, you could definitely rock it.

Marjorey Body Love Bodysuit, $70

This Marjorey bodysuit may be the item on this list that I most want to go out and buy right now. The style is so versatile without being boring and at $70 it’s the most affordable bodysuit  here! Again, I love the sheer black panels, they definitely add to the appeal.

Bebaroque Silk Hand Embroidered Pearl Bodysuit, $123.13 (on sale from $518.91)

This Bebaroque bodysuit is at ASOS on massive sale right now, so if you like it, pop over there before anyone else snags it. The hand embroidery and beading are amazing– I can’t believe how detailed it is.

Kriss Soonik Bridget Body, € 89.00

Kriss Soonik’s Bridget Body is just so pretty. I love the cut out in the back and the cute little butt ruffle detail. I can say from personal experience that the fabric Kriss Soonik uses for her bodysuits is incredibly soft and comfortable, so this would definitely be great for all-day wear.

Bordelle Velvet Justine body, £154.00

I’ve had my eye on this Bordelle bodysuit for a while– there is something about the sheer panels that makes me feel that I would look like a superhero in it (in a good way!). I really like how it is has underwire and molded cups because then you could wear it as a sexy under-layer with a jacket without having to worry about a bra too.

SockBox Magnificent Rita, $320.00

Spots! That was my first thought when I saw this adorable bodysuit. I really, really, really like that the whole back is a pattern of opaque polka dots on a sheer ground because polka dots are one of my favorite patterns. If you like this one, but you want to continue your black bodysuit quest, I would hop over to SockBox to see the rest of this collection, because they are all amazing.

Sonatine Ribbon Bodysuit, £125

This Sonata bodysuit is so lovely because it is practically all lace. The buttons up the front are also quite beautiful. I’m not entirely sure about the practicality of this bodysuit when compared to some of the others, but I feel like for some of you the prettiness of the lace could take precedence.

So, are you as obsessed with black bodysuits as I am? Do you think that an LBB is something that people actually should have in their closet? Oh, and I’d love to hear your favorites.
